Prestigious Organization is seeking a Director of Digital Commerce - Applications Development. The Director, Digital Commerce is responsible for leading the development and implementation of websites and digital commerce applications across multiple platforms and multiple geographies. Position will drive the development of detailed technical design and architectural framework components for eCommerce systems with a heavy emphasis on mobile first and best in class digital experiences. This role requires a high level of knowledge and experience designing, developing and supporting highly complex mission critical systems using eCommerce and omnichannel technologies that meet established organizational objectives.

FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Identifies and implements strategies to increase traffic and revenue through web-empowered business application systems. Works closely with executive management to drive the success of short and long-term goals aligned with strategic business objectives

Develop a strong understanding of customer's needs and establish operational standards to exceed customer satisfaction in approach to digital commerce

Accountable for the overall architecture and design of .com and Omni-Channel retailing.

Participate in the discovery phase of the development life cycle to recommend solutions that are consistent with existing Architecture and Design.

Lead design reviews and develop solution design documents for both High Level and Low Level Design artifacts.

Examine single point solutions to ensure they don't prohibit future growth and scalability.

Develop, Maintain and Enforce Design and Coding Standards.

Monitor and govern the implementation of the approved technical design(s).

Drive for innovation including developing tools, processes and reusable components as needed to help improve the efficiency of future projects.

Partner with key Business Stakeholders, IT application owners, and architects to develop and execute on the product roadmap.

Work with Technology vendor contacts to raise, troubleshoot and resolve issues relating to code, configuration and product(s).

Keep informed on the latest trends and emerging technologies within the Digital eCommerce and broader Omni-Channel ecosystem (including Security, Fraud Prevention, and overall operational best practices)

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Sciences, Engineering, or related field (an equivalent combination of related education, training, and experience may be considered)

At least 10+ years of proven track record performing business and solution analysis and design for enterprise applications.

At least 5 years of Retail eCommerce experience using best in class commerce application (ATG, IBM WebSphere, Demandware, Hybris, etc).

Lead and implemented a commerce re-platform initiative start to finish.

Lead high performance teams ranging in size from (10-50) with a mix of fulltime, onshore, and offshore resources.

At least 3 years of mobility experience, including mobile web (adaptive, responsive), mobile app (native, hybrid) and web API's.

At least 3 years of Omni-Channel retailing experience.

Proven track record in managing and driving the successful scoping and design phase of a project working with stakeholders from all business units to lead, define, map and document solution definitions.

Highly knowledgeable in web-based systems architecture, service-based architecture, enterprise application architecture as well as experience managing expectations when balancing alternatives against business and financial constraints.

Must be highly proficient best in class Commerce engines, Java, Unix operating system, Web technologies (like HTML 5, Javascript - jQuery/Dojo, CSS 3, XML, Bootstrap, etc.), SQL, Relational database such as DB2 and Oracle, Visual modelling and design tools such as RSA, Experience with Source Control Software.

Familiarity with Endeca search engine, CMS and PIM principles.

Highly knowledgeable in Front End web development standards with heavy emphasis continuous website performance tuning and optimization.

Must have excellent oral, written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills.

Pay: $200,000 to $250,000 USD
Pay Period: Annual
