General Summary:

Reports to the Information Technology Manager. Responsible for day to day support of the Syspro (ERP/Financial) application and MS SQL 2012 Server database. Responsible for responding to Syspro user requests in a 24-hour production environment which includes after hours support.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Support of Syspro 7 environment including Application Server, database and client PCs operating in a high volume production environment.

Strong understanding of financial and production concepts.

Syspro functional experience including financial, distribution and manufacturing modules.

Ad Hoc reporting and development as needed including Syspro and SQL Server

End user training at all levels (Management and shop floor) with version upgrades.

Make up training/reference manuals for Syspro ERP modules in use.

Mine data and provide periodic ad-hoc reporting to accounting and operations.

Work directly with accounting department and production control staff to streamline processes and correct impediments.

Perform function of SQL2012 database admin, SQL backups, user security, database maintenance etc.

Write complex queries using T-SQL combining data from multiple companies and Servers.

Optimize T-SQL code and stored procedures.

SQL Server Reporting services (SSRS) to write reports not possible using Syspro Report Writer, users can print reports or export to Excel or PDF format. These SSRS reports include production and scrap reports to track productivity by cost center by machine throughout the factory, also reports to track delivery performance to customers and from suppliers to mention but a few. Use SSRS subscriptions to email reports daily and weekly to staff in PDF and Excel formats.

Interpret stringent automotive customer labeling requirements and maintain customer labels in Bartender to meet requirements


3 years Syspro application administration with MS SQL Server administration and development

Syspro 6 and 7

SQL Server 2012

SSRS experience integrate Syspro with other databases

Excellent technical and nontechnical communication

Excellent problem solving skills

End to end project management and issue resolution experience
